HRH The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences
The terms and conditions below are applicable to each applicant to the HRH The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conference – UK 2027 (the “Conference”). Please read the terms and conditions prior to submitting an application. If there is anything in the terms and conditions with which you disagree, please do not submit your application.
Applicants
To apply to attend the Conference, applicants must:
- Be at least 25 years old at the start of the Conference on 13 April 2027;
- Be Commonwealth citizens;
- Apply via www.cscuk2027.com;
Applications
Applications must be received by 5pm (GMT) 14 September 2026.
Each applicant may only submit one application.
By submitting an application, each applicant warrants that all information submitted by them is true, current and complete. Where an application is incomplete, incorrect or not received by the Conference, that application is void.
Applications will be assessed by the Selection Committee and submitted to the Board for approval. The Conference is seeking a diverse cohort and encourages applications from across the Commonwealth.
Successful applicants will be notified by 30 November 2026.
Submission of an application is no guarantee of acceptance for the Conference. Applicants should not make any confirmed travel plans regarding the Conference until they know whether their application has been successful.
Code of conduct
In the event that an applicant is successful, during their travel to and from, and attendance at, the Conference they must:
- treat all participants, staff, sponsors, and external contacts with respect and professionalism at all times. They will actively participate in all scheduled activities, workshops, group work, and site visits, and will collaborate constructively with other participants and contribute positively to group projects and presentations. They will represent the programme with integrity during all external visits and networking events;
- maintain appropriate professional boundaries in all interactions and will respect cultural, religious, and personal differences of all participants. They must not engage in harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct of any kind, and will respect shared living spaces and be considerate of others in accommodation areas; and
- understand they will be photographed and filmed for marketing purposes, and agree to participate in sponsor surveys, roundtables, and research activities when requested. They will attend all scheduled social and networking events, and will comply with all programme rules, venue requirements, and local laws during travel to and from the Conference.
Applicants acknowledge and agree that failure to meet these standards may result in their removal from the Conference.
Privacy
By submitting an application, each applicant agrees to the Conference processing those details in accordance with its privacy policy, which can be found at www.cscuk2027.com/application-privacy-policy. The Conference will comply with all applicable data protection legislation.
Liability
Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit the Conference’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its, its staff or its supplier’s negligence or for fraud. Subject to this, the Conference will not accept responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any applicant.
General
In the event any provision in these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that invalidity or unenforceability will not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision in these terms and conditions. The remaining terms and conditions will otherwise remain in effect and will be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not included.
These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute in connection with these terms and conditions.
